So many of the counter arguments in this thread have consisted
of erecting straw-man arguments consisting of 'aww poor baby, was it too
experimental for you? Why don't you just stay home and listen to the
CD?'
Right from the start, everyone who said they didn't like it
UNDERSTOOD what they were trying to achieve. NONE of us wanted a DAT
performance. I just happened to think that they failed to capture my
attention in a positive way. It's my opinion, and you're ignorant for
telling me to fuck off because of it.
Don't treat Autechre like rock stars, okay? Blindly idolizing
every single scratch and thump that comes out of their instruments, and
putting down anyone who disagrees is just bad form. This is a forum for
debate about the music not a pissing match to see who loves them more.
