perhaps not quite idm, but wanted to respond to a posting citing "let's
get killed" as an ace album from last year (which it most certainly is)
and wondering how they missed (I dunno - never read mixmag or muzik?).
specifically cited was "don't die just yet" (last full track on the lp)
as the standout(and it is), but did ya notice it was a cover of a Serge
Gainsbourg track? if you don't know who Serge is, then you're a) not
French, b) didn't come of age in the sixties (not that I did, but
close), and c) need to do some homework (as I did).
my question: anyone hear/know of the original, and if so what's the
story?
