no, i dont think destroying the MCs flow was intentional. they didn't
DSP the vox at all. they didnt cut it up a la their Wu-Tang remix.
they just had MCs rap over really noisy, klanging F'ng beats and it
sounds like a mess. i think what they DID do intentionally was attempt
to be hip by having an MC rap over a track they made.

have you ever seen the episode of Perfect Strangers where Balkey
becomes a famous rapper? If you liked that, this isn't that far off
conceptually.
