Yeah -
There are a few of us OG's who have been on this list since the early
days. I think I subscribed in 1992. This was in a sense largely pre-web
and the mailing lists and usenet groups were our main source of info and
were thus quite active (I don't think 100 posts / day was rare at peak?).
People still physically bought music at a shop, we wore funny JNCO pants
and went to parties in polluted abandoned factories like the Packard Plant
and P2P didn't really exist. The sub-genres of the year and darling
labels (RIP Markant, Musik Aus Strom) have ebbed and flowed but it's always
been a source of good dialog with the occasional flamewar.
