The album version of this track is not the trancey one. It's a straight,
slightly disappointingly-flat sounding synthy stringy verison (like the trance
version before the beats come in). Having said that, I quite like the album as a
whole. A good mix of tunes, some more idm-ised than others, but nothing that
will frighten your granny. I was thinking the other day that some of it wouldn't
sound amiss on a Bola record. Coffee table IDM?

i don't know, but the video for his "Barber's Adagio for Strings" was on
AMP two weeks ago, and is very pretty. the song is in the tradition of
taking a nice classical sample and synching it to a trance beat, but is
quite well done, and the video is quite clever. good job, mr. orbit.
