i second this recommendation... i saw it the other day in the record store filed under hia, but didn't remember seeing anything about it. i bought it on a whim anyway since i love hia and the cover and title looked interesting (you know you've got a music buying problem when...) while i liked bobby's collaborations with deep space network, and thought the one with pete namlook was okay if not great, this new one is definitely the winner of the bunch. i remember reading something about it somewhere (could i get any less specific?) that said all the sounds were created basically from residual noise found lurking in their gear... hence the title 'nothing'. when i heard that i expected an album that would fit in the "interesting... but i don't listen to it much" category. instead, i would never have guessed its origins, and while they make an interesting story, the album stands on its own. definitely worth checking out... ... art
