hey folks, here's another OPINION and nothing more: i'll agree that the first schematic release, metic's "matrix blaster" is fucking ACE. it's true. way to kick off the label i think. and yes, the first cut on takeshi's "flipped and squashed" ep is just mind blowing - like Autechre in ninja suits! NOW...getting on to the last two ep's.... ok, so sch 003 (push button objects) is not exactly what you were expecting. but that's just IT. stop "expecting" and open your minds, this experimentalist hip-hop style in unlike anything i've heard this year. not the greatest release of the year, but certainly not "wank". it's good and NOT because i'm a statesman and WANT it to be. and as for sch 004 (jeswa "skone" ep) - OH BROTHER. i'd say this is without question, the 180 degree counterpart to being "wank". it's so solid...experimental, holistic, refreshing. listen to tracks 2 and 3 of the takeshi ep (granted, the first track on it is INCREDIBLE) and THEN listen to jeswa. jeswa's SO much more consistent than takeshi's effort i think. need more? follow gonzi's lead and go forthward to mfr for the full scoop on the matter. .02 by ASG
