after the reports from other listmembers, my hopes weren't running very
high for this one. contrary to popular belief however, this is one
serious piece of Ae workmanship. I don't really see where the "Chiastic
Slide" comparisons come in, because this ep is actually quite different
than anything that CS has to offer. The beats are generally faster, the
sounds more synth-ish, and the style much less noisy than CS. another
amazing Ae outing.
Also today I picked up the merzbow tribute/remix album "scumtron".
Anyone else heard this one? The Ae remix is great (as always), the
panasonic remix is a definite standout track for Vanio & crew, and the
rest is good quality structured noise. Another winner in my book. yum.
