i meet someone last week that works in some capacity at trent reznor's nothing
studios in new orleans. she told me that mr. reznor give her a load of vinyl
records and a lesson in _recycle_. her job? to find decent drum loops and funk
samples, edit them, and catalog them. why? they're going to appear in the next
nin album. using samples and breaks is one thing, but having someone else
discover them? trent's just a hip hop poser!
when another pal of mine played some tracks from _drum'n'bass for pap_, she
stated, "that sounds like the stuff trent is working on for the new album."
i thought this bit of gossip was both funny and sad. had to blab it.
