i'm a bandwagon jumper!! i'm a bandwagon jumper!! look out world! here's my $12.03. 1983 - (11 years old) got into breakdancing (herbie hancock, etc.) 1985 - (13 years old) into mainstream pop (huey lewis & the news) 1986 - (14 years old) into hard rock, etc. (van halen, etc.) 1988 - (16 years old) heard new order's "substance 1997" and fell in love with electronics. bought entire back catalog, and then branched off into depeche mode, erasure, xymox, dead or alive, kraftwerk, tangerine dream, etc. then quickly bought albums from front 242, nitzer ebb, skinny puppy, manufacture, moev, front line assembly, kmfdm...i.e. any band on nettwerk or wax trax was officially mine for the taking. 1989-92 (18-20 years old) big into the british scene...happy mondays, blur, charlatans, chapterhouse, ride, lush, curve, slowdive, underworld, jesus jones, real people, northside, my bloody valentine, 4ad bands, creation bands, etc. i also got into the "rave" scene... moby, the prodigy, (hey, remember LA Style?!?! hahaha), utah saints, altern-8, eon, t99, 2 unlimited, lords of acid, and countless awful techno/rave compilation cd's. i forgot to mention stuff like enigma, dead can dance, cocteau twins, single gun theory, nin, chemlab, die warzau, sister machine gun, bel canto, etc. 1993-present (21-25 years old) basically into the same setup...got into orbital, the orb, aphex, vapour space, sven vath, autechre, spring heel jack, psykosonik, chembros, and all the musak coming out of keyboards today. also more into electronic industrial music (i.e. haujob, download) and band synth-pop music ala cosmicity, color theory, total devotion, etc. i don't discriminate just because the radio plays it...even though it bugs the shit outta me. i'd still rather hear Q101 play "born slippy" or "block rockin' beats" 10 times a day instead of no doubt or bush. but hey, that's just me. peace... prymal (not yer mom) ========== primal@interaccess.com www.interaccess.com/primal/ A New January - electro/techno/synth music www.interaccess.com/primal/january/ ==========
