greetings idm heads, i'm matthew. my first idm post concerns the jega release on skam. somebody raved about this release the other day, which made me feel good because i knew that my copy was in the mail. the bola release and especially the freeform release on skam impressed me. but i must say that i'm quite disappointed with jega. i expect a miss or two among seven tracks, but jega's got more misses than hits. while most of the songs could be considered mildly uninteresting, a couple are downright annoying. that's coming from someone who likes tracks like aphex twin's "ventolin (video version)." at least *that* track qualifies as *interesting* annoying idm. sorry about the lack of a descriptive review; i haven't heard enough good idm to communicate to you exactly *what* sucks about jega. i just want to make sure people don't give up on skam after hearing only jega... as long as i'm on skam artists, would anybody care to comment (publicly or privately) on freeform's _elastic speakers_ on worm interface? i just joined idm last week so sorry if i missed previous discussion. matt (who has a copy of jega for trade)
