Start with 1 - if you love it (which you are likely to), get 2, bearing in
mind that they ran out of money for studio time for the original LP and
filled up the second side with tape and turntable manipulations of music
they had already recorded - basically playing the same record at three
different speeds.
I like Stereolab very much and this is not meant to totally put them down
but some of their earlier work was very Neu-influenced - your jaw may drop a
bit when you hear how much so.
