We have a pair of Tascam cd players with pitch and autocue, but they aren't
that great for beatmatching. Cant be worst than the Technics we had before.
And of course a pair of Technics SL-1200 turntables. I've been djing for
several years, so it is not a problem doing good beat matching or any
other djing trick. However, this is IDM style music (orbital, spicelab,
system 7, link, autechre, aphex twin etc) and close to that style (cross
between ambient and acid for example), and that's why i am not sure it
is a good thing (tm) to play only half a song, when the song really
evolves over much more than this.

Which, i guess, is a good format for house, but somehow, particularly because
i also write music, i feel that the songs are totally different if incomplete.
Ciao,
