Boy o Boy! Whoever send Generation Star Wars by Alec Empire was mindblowing was not pulling anyones chain....Holy Shit....I have it cranked in the headphones right now....Shit...This track is fucking wikked beyond belief it is the last one on the R2d2 side...this is the aural equivalant of being sodomized by an alien while captured on a enemy space ship, while on about hmmmm, ten grahams of magic mushrooms...A few of these tracks have sounds coming out from every possible dimension....many are almost too similar to the work of U-ziq and Aphex Twin, but if your are going to emulate someone that is an excellent place to start. Pretty Fucking Amazing. Black Knight-Moody Balance E.p.-Source Records 4 tracker written by Robert Gordon, the guy behind some of the best "bleep" records of the past (Xon, Forgemasters, Dj Mink....) this is sort of abstract techno with bleeps....not the sort of thing that jumps out at you at first listen but very good none the less...lots of low frequencies and lots of bass, one track has that repetitive sort of electro rythym that makes me like to move (think of Gak or Nightmares on Wax-Dexterous) Bam Bam-Best of Westbrook Classics-Tresor Bam Bam released a twelve inch called Space Trax about 10 months ago that proves this guy is still around, he just happened to have his prime back in the early days, Space Trax kinda sucked, this compilation is pretty killer. It is an 8 track compilation of rereleases of some classic Acid records from 1988-1990...Includes the highly sought after Where's Youre Child and Make You Scream....Good acid shit here, and harder than shit to find the original twelve inches nowdays. And by the way it sounds real nice, not like a lot of compilations, this has two tracks per side which could be mixed loud and still sound great. R-Zac 23-Base Support-Drop Bass Network New from the Spiral Tribe, who incidently are supposed to be in/going to Milwaukie Wisonsin for a couple of months...This is some really fast (can be pitched down thank you) LOOPY heady trippy hardcore tribal acid breakbeat (jungle) trance....4 songs all really long and really worth the whole length of the vinyl....with a lot of different rythyms going at once....If all "Harder Techno" was this good, I could very easily see myself doing something that a hardcore techno freak would do. Tusken Raiders-Bantha Trax-Clear Hey what can I say I like it! IMHO much better than Jedi Knights...much more original and inventive sounding....true as others said a few of the tracks are to damn short.....The human beatbox track has a good idea but the guy cant beatbox for shit...How about hiring the guy from the Fat Boys for the next attempt, I would love to hear some more human beatbox in techno tracks....A Rit-ta-tit-a-ritta-tita-tit Derek moses@teleport.com Inportland Techno Acid Ambient Mail Order DJ Rumpleforeskin Import Domestic Records-C.D.'s 0--\___/--\___/---0 phone/fax 503-620-3340 SUBMERGE TO THE DEEPEST DEPTHS IN ORDER THAT THE HIGHEST BE ELEVATED TO LIGHT *Alfred Rosenberg
