heh :) Well, I guess this as good a time as any to announce my 'zine... --- Call for submissions (geez that sounds formal) for the inaugural issue of siBsiB [prononunce it like you're backspinning a record...] ------ the new journal of the arts, literature, the Net, hardware, and a bunch of cyberjunk, with a particular focus on the worldwide techno music scene(s), especially Detroit techno. current plans are to produce each issue on paper and in one or more electronic forms (HTML? Acrobat PDF? two dixie-cups n' a string?), and distribute it for free at parties, record stores, FTP sites, Web sites, bookstores, comic shops, etc. i'm wide open to ideas and contributions, particularly -original artwork, photography, raytracings -reviews (records, books, films, raves, live shows, etc.) -fiction, poetry, essays -interviews -informative how-to's (music-making, dj-ing, coding in C++, hangover remedies, recipes, strategies for attaining complete enlightenment, addresses of welders who'll fill tanks with laughing gas...) i can't promise you any money, but I can promise you a really grandiose sounding title on the masthead... if you'd like to participate or hear more, contact me at email: marmoset@msen.com (preferred) phone: (810) 299-6983 _ snail: freeke c/o dave walker p.o. box 271 lincoln park, mi 48146-0271 ____________________________________________________________ dave walker marmoset@msen.com fighting the battle of Gettysburg _every single day_ ____________________________________________________________
