is too much hype towards certain music artists like Orbital. "X band can do no wrong." etc...and when you add the factor in that other artists (in fact a WHOLE genre) is ignored by most people (and slagged off by the press for the most part) you have to wonder...or at least I do.<< That's not entirely true. I for one think the sound on "Semi-Detached" and "Attached" is somewhat stale. I don't care for, and the only people that I know of that do are on the list. After wasting my money on the Speed Limit comps last year, I gave up on breakbeat. I've heard other breakbeat in clubs, but it fails to hold my interest. 8080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808 0 Paul Rafanello Internet: 808STATE@DELPHI.COM 0 8080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808080808

I know what you mean. I stopped on vol. 2. The only reason why I've kept vol. 2 is because it is in a lime-colored case (oooooo-aahhhh). Big #$%^& deal! I can only think of about 3 breakbeat songs I do like. I sure hope techno isn't going in this direction...taking songs like Eric B and Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul" and playing it at 45rpm (sampled in Acen's "Trip to the Moon". Oh well.... Dave cdh1@ra.msstate.edu ...or you can call him Dave the Rave. ...or you can even call him Technodave. ...but don't call him discodave!!!
