Seeing as there seems to be so much interst/ disinterest in
f.s.o.l. at the moment, I wonder if anyone has heard them DJing?
In the u.k. they did a stint of 3hr programmes on kiss fm
( London ) which I thought were excellent. They did tend to play
a lot their own current tunes though. They mixed floaty ambience
with hip hoppy / jazzy tunes and layers of do-your-head-in
vocal / film samples. Very enjoyable.
By the way I think the following tracks by the old
knob tweakers are classics:
i) Accelerator (particularly Expander)
ii) Mental Cube - 'child of the bass generation' and 'q'
ii) Metropolis s/t (analogue mix)
iii) liquid insects.
