Oh I love nitpicking dates with people who have no idea what they're
talking about. My "Papua New Guinea" single is dated 1992. Although
"Accelerator" is
(P) 1991, it was EXTREMELY hard to get a copy when it was first made
available in the states in the spring of 1992. I honestly doubt it
was readily available in England in 1991 if all. Isn't it odd how
people yak about how something being fab zillions of years ago when
they had nothing to do with the music at the time?

For someone who has only DJ'd "Papua New Guinea", I find your sudden
acceptance of FSOL as 'brilliant' very surprising.

Pete, I'm sorry for simply mentioning music that I enjoy. I didn't
ask for a flame war though. Maybe you missed my point. I meant that
Accelerator was created and RECORDED in 1991. The date that the
music was created is what is important to me about this album. If
anyone else created music that far ahead of its time I would praise
them as well. Accelerator is an album that has not lost it's edge
over time and I can still listen to it now and get different musical
insights every time I do.
For the most part, I DJ dance music. Even though Cascade is a great
song, you won't find me playing it on the dance floor simply because
it isn't very danceable. I have made several ambient tapes, however,
and I've included it on one of them. How would you even know what I
DJ nowadays, since you've only heard me play once in the last few
months? I may not have been a FSoL fan ever since their first
single, but I have enjoyed their music for about a year and a half
now, as if it really matters.
