Not answering your question, but Analogue Bubblebath Vol 3 (by AFX, Rephlex Records) is available on CD. I think it's still in print (a lot of Rephlex stuff has been repressed.) Also Quoth (by Polygon Window, on Warp) was released on CD, though <<<<<<<<<<<<<<< You can find Analog Bubblebath 3 on the Trance Europe Express CD compilation. It's a 2 disk set, and I'm not sure about the name of the label, but it's from the makers of the Volume compilations. Quoth is available on a CD compilation called Trancelvania. Again, I'm not sure about the label on this, but I can find out. These are both imported 2 disc compilations, so they may be kind of pricey, but there are a lot of good tracks on both of them besides Aphex Twin's.

The AB3 being spoken of is an album. Here is a tracklisting from the CD version. I don't think it is in print anymore: AFX in his third Analogue Bubblebath Rephlex: CAT 008 1 133 03:54 .215061 2 136 08:03 .1993841 3 79 04:15 .0180871a 4 145 04:37 .942937 5 128 03:53 .0180871b 6 141 04:48 .0008908569 7 154 04:20 .5527803773258 8 125 04:06 9 125 05:07 10 144 00:36 AFX 6/b 11 04:41 12 00:54 13 147 05:14

The "Quoth" CD single is readily available from TVT/Wax Trax.

The CD of Analogue Bubblebath 3 has almost definitely been re-pressed because I bought it from my local record shop only last week. There's nothing printed anywhere except " 66% more bubbles " which must be the bonus tracks! AFX in his third Analogue Bubblebath Rephlex: CAT 008ii 1 133 03:54 .215061 2 136 08:03 .1993841 3 79 04:15 .0180871a 4 145 04:37 .942937 5 128 03:53 .0180871b 6 141 04:48 .0008908569 7 154 04:20 .5527803773258 8 125 04:06 Untitled (Fluted) 9 125 05:07 Untitled (SS) 10 144 00:36 AFX 6/b 11 04:41 Untitled (BE) 12 00:54 Untitled (Shower beats) 13 147 05:14 Untitled (Spectrum beats) The tracks are in a slightly different order from the 12", the sound of a microwave has been replaced with a hoover engine (!) and track 1 is a lot shorter than the 12". As stated before, the 2 mono tracks have been given track numbers of their own. BUT! If anybody has the 12" and doesn't know whether to buy the CD for the extra tracks, then I would say definitely DO! Just for tracks 8, 11 & 13. I'm not in the same lines as some of our distinguished track reviewers but for what it's worth: Track 8 is a brilliant tinkly RJ synth track with additional amazing bass and thunderous echoing drums. Not very fast but really clever. Track 11, for all you fans of dark and ominous tracks like the AB3 track on trance europe express, is one such trip and is like the " " " one, only even more dark and ominous! My favourite has to be 13, the Spectrum Beats one, which sounds like a cross between 73 yips and phlange phace, only if you were emulating them with a ZX Spectrum.........
