I've been really enjoying the Internet History Podcast, reliving the dream
of the 90's!
After a particular episode I listened to last week, interviewing Rob
McCool, author of the original NCSA HTTPd -

I reached out to Rob as I work at the same company as him, and he was like
oh, did they also interview Brian Behlendorf? (our IDM list founder and
author of Apache webserver!), which as far as I can see, they haven't. As
both Apache and the Hyperreal mailing lists started around them, I was
wanting to ask you how these two topics intersected, and how you remember
around that time.
However! As I click through some of the links on hypereal.org, i just found
this page "A cobbled-together history of hyperreal" which pretty much
answers my question! (including how you came to use a track title by the
Shamen!) -

^ awesome history doc / story! Anything to add to your memories, Brian?
bonus link - that doc states it was originally written for
https://ironfeather.com/ - which is such a well preserved looking 90s
website, with some great 90's DJ mix tapes!
