Let's see... I'm not crazy about a lot of the IDM out now, sorry everyone; however, I think Autechre's latest was worth the purchase. Cornelius' Point DVD is nice. Looking forward to picking up Roots Manuva's 'Awfully Deep'. Head of Femur's Hysterical Stars is a real treat. Highly recommend that to any of you who like to hear a rock album once in a while -- up to 27 people playing at a time on that record! ; ] Also, Bobby Conn and the Glass Gypsies just released 'Live Classics Vol. 1' -- it just knocks my socks off. Hey IDM .. In many of my previous post about IDM I refer to the dance scene that I am involved in as the contect for my understanding. Anyway .. we are getting around to our Winter Solstice celbrations here in the southern hemisphere .. so I just wanted to let you know what I was up to. https://www.obscure.co.nz/incoming/organization_and_influence In short we are taking an outdoor dance party with three seperate sound systems and controling the whole thing from a central position. We will also be using Omni directional microphones and delay units to feed live sound back into the system. Personaly I have been very ispired by Rithie Hawtins work towrads creating immersive enviroments for his sound. This is my work in progress towards making audio enviroments dynamic spaces of expereince and interaction.
