Has anyone been reading about these guys' performances online? They seem to be leaving a trail of blown minds where ever they go! The promoter from the NYC show said they KILLED IT again on Friday. No laptops, just sequencers and self-made gear! Check out our totally new website, with DJ sets, tracks to download, and lots more info on what is sure to be an amazing show! http://www.KONTROLsf.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i've seen them play many times as i live parttime in zurich, where they come from. everybody here knows that they do the (maybe) best live pa in the world. it's very nice to see them having such an instant success abroad. you'll barely find any reviews in english on the net because (as it seems to me) they don't really care about getting successfull, you know - undaground... but i guess they couldn't resist when they were asked to come to mutek. what they do when doing a live p.a. is bringing some boxes and bags full of electronic devices (synths, beat machines, sequencers), some of them homemade. setting it all up needs about 2 squaremeters of space on a table. with dozens (maybe hundreds) of led's blinking, wild wiring and some devices even without housing it looks like an experimental setup found in mad scientist's laboratories. during the show they adjust a fader here, press buttons there, twiddle some knobs somewhere else and seem to have much fun and the result sounds great. even though the 4/4 minimal techno they do is not really my glass of vodka-orange i can't resist to be very fascinated every time seeing them PLAYING LIVE. sven. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

<biting tongue> i'm so tempted....but no. better to have too much good music to choose from than not enough, i say. our party is over by 2. maybe you can hit both? regardless, respect to DJ Yap and crew. any other night i'd be there. I hope both events do well. -----> Greg http://www.KONTROLsf.com/ On 6/14/05, forest green <forestgreenlistmail@yahoo.com> wrote:
