Got mine today. My friend Nate got his yesterday, but Rephlex packed it sloppy so there was some packing tape attached to the front of the binder; when he carefully removed it, it removed some of the gold foil. It's funny I have heard more about the packaging of this one than the music. I guess that is important if it's some sore of wierd collector fetish craze, like neat Richard D James collector cards. Maybe Rephlex could start selling collector IDM cards of all your favorite classic artists, with shiney superstar shots and discogs on the back, complete with a collectors binder... Anyways, I'de be interested in some Aphex 4/4 stuff, I can't stand a lot of that hypo-bpm spastic shit these days, I used to love it but I don't do those types of drugs anymore. But I definitley don't want to shell out that kind of money for it. that equals ten records of something else, ten other brilliant artists out there that probabley could use my money. --- wallace winfrey <wally@booyaka.com> wrote:

The packaging is pretty neat-o. I guess the point in my story is, if you're going to pay ~$77USD for something, you expect Rephlex to not package the packaging in such a way that it fucks it up. About the music: one track is entitled "fenixfunk", and I'm almost sure it's a reference to the Fenix modular, which is quite rare and excellent sounding. Coil owned one, as does one of the guys in Multicast. That being said, both sides sound quite a bit like most parts were created on a modular synth. I'm thinking that the theme with the Analord series is that Richard is eschewing laptops and digital technology, and showing what can still be done with analog gear. If that's the case, then those fanboys out there who think everything must be run through an Eventide and hyper-edited to fuck are going to be solely disappointed and should pop their binders up on Ebay real quick like. Course, that's just my initial impression from having heard Analord 10. cheers w --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Lemme check my LJ real quick. I got mine Tuesday. Very impressive. Can't wait to start slipping the other records in, although I would've preferred they put 10 in the last slot instead of the first. I?m extremely pleased to announce the grand opening of the Cock Rock Disco Shop! http://www.cockrockdisco.com/shop/index.php There are 4 Mp3 albums online and available for download (by whole album only, 5 US dollars each.) The first 2 CRD CD?s by Duran Duran Duran and Terminal 11, as well as pre-orders for the amazing new Doormouse CD as well. (?And while we?re on the subject, you really should check out this Terminal 11 fellow: http://www.cockrockdisco.com/MP3-page.html) But that?s not all, there?s the great T-shirt by Zeloot (you have to see it? genius). And the intriguing new T-shirt-subscription we?re doing. [6 T-shirts in 1 year, $80.00 (61.2980 Euros), (8,219.20 Yen), (99.1040 Canadian) shipping is included. Which, I think is quite a good deal. Plus, you?ll be stylish and ?in the know? for at LEAST a year. So it?s up there now. We?ll be hosting Mp3s albums by a few more labels and artists soon, so check back when you can? Also, hit me up with you want on our mailing list?. We have so many great new Albums in the works, and we are deliriously happy that we can release them. Best!
