i don't think it's your fault, kent... you see, there is this poster on this list who calls him/herself "seek"... he LOVES to condescend... it seems he/she enjoys proofreading and ridiculing everyone's suggestions, long walks on the beach, nit-picking other peoples postings, sushi, filling up my mailbox with his lame personal attacks and being pretentious... we're all learning slowly, but he is evidently better and smarter than everyone else on the list. he never makes typing mistakes, listens to the best music, uses the best the operating system, etc. and, when you have a chance, make sure you ask him what he feels the best IDM album of the year was from 1999. nothing would make him happier. especially if he can make you feel stupid while he's doing it! get it now? ooof! --- Kent Williams <chaircrusher@gmail.com> wrote:

Yo, promoters: please include your location ~prominently~ in the subject line, or at least at the head of the text. It's called, giving good directions.

you know- I actually do see that it's a good idea to list your city on an international email list while promoting. It frustrates people if they don't know where it is. However, promoters usually have other jobs and millions of other obligations. They send out this same email to a bunch of different places and messageboards, TONS. It's every time consuming, and they usually only lose money anyway esp. for small niche scenes such as idm. So it's best to not be such an asshole to them as you were just now. You are not obtaining much peace and equality by being so rude to people who give up a lot of their time to bring music to people in their towns. So what if they forget to edit their emails before they send them to international lists, point taken- they still deserve reserve a ton of respect. ; ) You didn't actually read his response, did you?
