One of my favourite classic IDM artists is Germ. Around '93, when
hardtrance, hardcore/gabba and jungle dominated he started releasing very
abstract trax that were a mixture of (quite slow) techno, electronics and a
bit of jazz. I still love his music, especially his analog sounds that
sometimes remind me of early LFO, but sound even more like pure electricity.
Look for the Flaw 12" (Resource) and the Black Chair EP (GPR)
