This should be a pretty diverse and rocking show.
Donna Summer does a phenominal mashup of cut-up breaks
both familiar and obscure touching on prog-rock, disco, and
shredding breakcore, and is a pretty intense live show.
His "This Needs to Be Your Style" album was one of my
favorites from 2003. End also put out an album in 2003,
"Science/Fiction" on Hymen records, as well as a 7"
under the Giorgio Maurader alias, which is striking abstract
electronics that would appeal to fans of autechre or funckarma.
Xanopticon's "Liminal Space" was the most recent release
on Hymen, and after being on nearly a month-long tour in
europe, he's back to damage his home town. Rounding
out the bill are locals the Dreadnots who have a unique
and shifting lineup making use of sampler, turntable, guitar and vocal fx
to mash together hiphop, noise, free jazz, and weird beats.
