The indie store in my town "didn't think it's in stock" and told me they were closing down on the 21st (college town) and had already done all the ordering they were gonna do. He didn't seem real interested in helping me, and that's ok, because I decided a while back his store wasn't overly worth buying from. Tends to be electronic shy anyway. I didn't try Good Records, but then they're doing such a fine job with the order I placed a MONTH ago (almost) for an Explosions in the Sky record and poor Scoobs' copy of the FK 12". --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You might be able to get it fast from Barnes and Noble, but you'll have to pay them - if you choose the normal shipping it won't get there. Maybe the same for Djangos, but normal shipping will take 10 days - 2 weeks. They do have it. Insound is fast, but they only have the vinyl - great store for indie, though, and usually reasonable prices. I'd say you'll need to pony up for next day or somesuch if you don't want the vinyl - or maybe find a Tower. I actually *did* sell a brand new one last night on the 'bay jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Matador are selling it at a 'Nice Price', replete with 'Nice Price' sticker. It retails for the 'nice price' of $11. seek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Didn't even think of B&N, but then I didn't think of B&M. Try Hastings across from the mall. Best Buy might have it: give them a call, too. Or maybe CD Wherehouse (sp?). Having been to all those places, I would say it's unlikely. (Not in pursuit of this particular CD.) Not that I know anything about the local stores in Denton, but I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Hime in a general sense. Just about the time I think that "almost any store will stock XYZ release (which I have foolishly thought to be considered somewhat mainstream - and BoC is a great example)", I stop at 4 or five of them in order to grab it real fast and become re-acquainted with reality. K-Mart just ain't gonna have it. Back when Best Buy first came out, they tried to widen their clientele base by having stuff like that, but gone are those days. You might find it at Borders if you're lucky, but unless you're in a college town or have an indie/electronic based store handy, your best bet is having a David Hodgson or PJ Dorsey in your email address book. There's always FE as well (and who could forget Boomkat or Smallfish if we're thinking globally), but the 'net is where you'll get it. jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I agree: online is the way to go. CD Warehouse in Denton ~do~ have a brand-new copy of 'Twoism' in stock, though not 'Music has a Right...'. Denton has a Best Buy, a Sam Goody, Hastings Books and Music, and there may be a used copy of that cd at 1/2 Price Books/Music. Both 'Geogaddi' and 'Twoism' can be found today on sale in Denton, brand-new. If I wanted that disc in Denton, I'd seek it out there, for sure. ;) seek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

speaking of geogaddi...has anyone bothered to purchase the japanese version with the extra track? i'm normally susceptible to completism (as the 50 pounds of stereolab cds on my shelf remind me) regarding stray tracks on obscure variant releases but with the new economy... ...anyhow, has anyone heard it? is an mp3 posted anywhere? m*

I've got it. I'm not a obsessive boc completionist, but I'm fortunate to have a friend in tokyo who swoops on the necessaries for me. I haven't listened to that track (or that album) in quite a while, but from what I remember, it's a fairly short beat-less track featuring boc melodies under recordings of children explaining who/what god is to them. em.
