SUMMARY
Doormouse and Baseck are back to their scheming ways, and back
on tour following last spring's Gangstabass Inc fiasco. Doormouse
promises a whole new live set...and his shit is getting weirder and more
"live" every time, mixing hardcore/breakcore, jazz, deathmetal, booty,
spoken word and strange humor. Baseck has been rocking
spots from LA to Milwaukee to all over europe pretty much on
the constant. Insane cuts and scratches with equally insane beats.
Strangely
enough both of them have mix cds coming out on Tigerbeat 6 shortly,
shorty. Coming along this time is Stuntrock. If you've ever
had your heart ripped out, you need to check out his REGRET CD/ZINE,
its a brilliant "self help" concept album about getting over fucked
relationships.
Stuntrock live is a whole nuther thing...that you really need to
see understand. And this time he's doing half PA, and half stand-up
comedy. Opening up are some younger acts - Hearts of Darknesses -
who has made a bit of a name for himself with some crazy live antics,
and has a forthcoming full length on Schematic records - playing off of
Pittsburgh's
own Girltalk, who comes off somewhere between Kid606 and Cex.
Also as a special guest we've got Drop the Lime from NYC coming in -
he's really set to start blowing things up with a crazy style of
mutant 2step, electro and breakcore, and an impending 12" on ambush.
To round it out, Wrecked Soundsystem...made up of cutups and whatever
other locals can muscle in some tunes dropping booty jams, electro, acid,
rock, hiphop, noise, and weirdness. So come out, shake your ass,
get your circle pit on, or chill to some hot jams, tea and videogames
at the Shadow Lounge.
