hey all, just the latest coupla releases from us at net.label Monotonik - as always, they're freely downloadable from: http://www.mono211.com ..and particularly of interest to idm-list types, since they're geektronica to the fullest. so, we have: Blamstrain - "Etkno44/Human" [The debut Monotonik release by Finnish recording artist and former Suojain label-owner + Thinner contributor, Blamstrain, aka Juho Hietala, as he pre-empts his forthcoming Merck CD, "Ensi", with these two deft pieces of electronic cipher.] Super Science - "Ray EP" [The second of three 'virtual 7-inch' releases from Australia's Mark Mitchell, these 2 tracks are also from the super-limited Splashdown CDRs released in 1999, and pretty much unavailable until now. Clue To Kalo, Mark's new project, has had its 'Come Here When You Sleepwalk' album picked up by Mush Records in the US and The Leaf Label in Europe, and this is excellent early material from him.] thanks, y'all, h0l/simon. To follow-up with the Blamstrain/Clue to Kalo post.. Re: BLAMSTRAIN::::: Blamstrain's upcoming "Ensi" full-length on Merck has been in rotation for a few days in the Digital::Nimbus/IglooMag Facility. On this disc we see Blamstrain's audio journey of electrical waves splashing all across the speakers. The sounds of warm air brushing against textured rhythms with hints of cold industrialized techno are only a few of the elements that Blamstrain has in mind. Yet another Finnish producer ready to display his sound to the world. We'll be Premiering several upcoming Merck releases this week on Digital::Nimbus including Esem, Lackluster, Adam Johnson, Deceptikon, Frank & Bill and a few others. It's sure to be an interesting night of brisk beats, some hip-hop slants and melodically enriched electronic spasms.
