Fuck the new wave revival - Numbers (omit the The, although I would say I
love The The) are punk as fuck, super fun and don't wear trash bags or use
an electribe or have wack dancers - their drummer (a female, and
sings/shouts/busts out "oi"'s through the whole thing) is the funnest
drummer ever - and will annihilate any misgivings you have for various
punk/nu-wave/electro revivals almost as fast as you can say to your
girlfriend "I hate this retro shit, dammit, let's go fuck to Fyuti."
Seriously. This is day 2 of my idm-list-pro-Numbers strafings and I don't
know any of these folks.
Don't sleep. No wait, sleep until I got tickets.
Ok I got tickets, go back to sleep.
Stay tuned: Watch for my pro-Numbers rant tomorrow night and I will tell you
how kick-ass their keyboard player is. Or how they make all kinds of people
pogo and shit and generally go off.
Also - Cex (not really deserving of an also) will basically blow you away
with his originality and energy ... He can rap, sing and work the crowd for
sure - look up his live mp3 sets for the real fucking deal!!! I have pointed
people to his live stuff and they're like, "Who is this guy, he sounds
fucking amazing?!" And at the same time make you think you can bust your own
hip-hop shit - but you can't !!! Ha ok that was cruel, I wish I could rap
personal sexual encounter rhymes for the world to dance to without them
throwing eggs ... But seriously - he's worth seeing - especially considering
his infrequent touring of the west coast. Boooya. Fuckin a. Cex is the bomb.
I can give this glowing review because I got my tickets for Bottom of the
Hill.
Take that, IDM LIST!!!
Dave
