solid steel tonite... dj vadim's 'art of listening' is out today both
sides of the pond, mr scruffs lp comes out end of the month stateside,
here's a couple of london gigs we'll be jumping around to this week.
Thursday 27th - DJ Vadim featuring the Russian Percussion live Vad's
band for the night features Mr Thing, wordstress Yarah Bravo, drums,
keys, bass and of course, Vadim himself. Jonny Cuba of DSP will be
bigging up the duo's new record "In The Red". Joining the decker
will be Phi Life Cypher, the mighty Def Tex (Son Records), Ev.On and
the one the only Juice Aleem@ Cargo, Rivington Street, 7pm - 1am
Vadim is on the dex @ 7pm sharp.
Friday 28th - Mr Scruff at The Forum, Kentish Town 9pm - 3am. One
man, two decks, a cup of tea & some trousesr jazz
Friday 4th - Mr Strictly Kev@ Red Alert at Herbal, Kingsland Road
alongside Adam Goldstone (Nuphonic) and Mira Calix (Warp). 9pm till
they pull the plugs.
Longrange forecast: put a note in your scented diaries that The
Cinematic Orchestra are at the Shephards Bush Empire on the 11th
October and The Herbaliser are at The Astoria on the 23rd.
