ADVENT My God...what an album. DEMF that "it will be good one," but this one goes through the Roof. Pure Advent techno! I listen again and again; again, hitting everything between rushing tough stuff and more reduced grooves for all floors& THE ADVENT (aka CISCO FERREIRA) has always kicked nothing but pure mega low Techno in his almost fifteen-year master history in dancefloor production. Armed with a huge catalog of music as well as his three "Sound Sketch" releases on TRESOR, CISCO'S hand in the game still continues hitting clubs and floors every single weekend, year round and worldwide. THE ADVENT's TRESOR "Sketches" are definitely closer to master plans than just sketches, and we're proud to announce THE ADVENT debut on TRESOR: "Sketched For Life", which is the first album recording after two years. Both the double-CD and double-EP vinyl formats pack pure Advent Techno TIPSY Rooftop promotion welcomes Asphodel Records of San Francisco. Its starts with Tipsy and the "Tipsy Remix Party" Enjoy this "funky lunge exotica"-- it's fresh, we love it& San Franciscos Tipsy is an anomaly in the world of electronica. Master synthesists of exotica, lounge, country and found sound, over the course of two full-lengths and twice as many EPs, Tipsy have delighted listeners with their highly ironic take on musical history. Frequently tagged as the members of the nebulous RSpace Age Bachelor pad genre in the tradition of Jean-Jacques Perry and Gershon Kingsley, Tipsy take the best aspects of crate-digging sampledelica and turn it into their own unique musical idiom. Led by chief songwriters Dave Gardener (formerly of The Haters and Big City Orchestra,) and Tim Digulla, over the course of the past six years, band membership has expanded to include guitarist/producer Alex Oropeza (Tarnation,) Mark Eitzel keysperson Andrew Plourde, and former Brian Jonestown Massacre drummer Travis Threlkel. At this point in Tipsy s career, nothing could be more appropriate than the well-timed Tipsy Remix Party! Curated by Dave Gardner, Remix Party! transcends the cliche of simply being a remix album, moving into territory traditionally reserved for tribute records and scene documentaries. Moving from Russia to Japan, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and America, the remarkable geographic spread of Tipsy translators attests to the creeping influence of the Tipsy phenomena worldwide. Featuring consistently up beat, humorous and memorable contributions by the likes of Matmos, the High Llamas, People Like Us, Messerchups, Optiganally Yours, and World Standard, Tipsy Remix Party! is the ideal lifestyle accoutrement for the Barbarella-worshipping computer science major in you. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
