...and I am beginning to believe that there is some
massive conspiracy to keep the prices away from the
average browser. Am I alone on this? Seriously, most
web sites are great with product info, demos, sound
samples and even user libraries and chat boards, etc.
But where in the sam hell is the price of the
product?! That is so irritating. Melodyne [Cellemony
software] for example.
And if they do finally give you price information, it
is only after you go 90% of the way through buying it!
Give them your email address; where you live; how
many kids you have; what position you have sex most
often in... And just before you enter your cc# at the
very bottom, $299.99 in small off white numbers.
Well, okay maybe I'm over reacting now, but
seriously....there is something very strange with the
way audio software producers market. Is withholding
the price until the last possible minute the best way
to appeal to consumers?
If any of you are selling anything of this sort, or
work for a company that does, please for the love of
god tell the people the price of your software.
Oh, and the new venetian snares album is pretty damn
tight.
