Record Peddler closed last year sometime - although your description sounds
a bit more like Rotate This, which you didn't mention elsewhere. Is that
the place you meant?

I think every city has a record store with a staff like the one in High

I also maintain a fairly up to date list of upcoming
electronic/experimental/etc. events in Toronto at

http://www.toronto-underground.com which lists hundreds of independent
shops, restaurants and such in downtown Toronto.
