argh! i never even knew of this show!
Ah well, it would have just added to my confusion!
the shows this week are just too many to keep up with methinks.
I was at the Capitol K/Leafcutter John and Hood show last night.
I thought it was an excellent show. I'd seen Capitol K w/ LJ pretty
recently so wasn't too bothered to see them, but they totally rocked the
place, and really manage to pull off that electronic laptop and guitar
live show. Leafcutter John had what looked like an old joystick converted
to a theramin which although used only minimally was really cool.
Then Hood just kicked it off as well. Their drummer kicks ass, playing
over the sequenced beats.
Tonite there is the Rothko show at Dingwalls, tomorrow evening their is
the Scandinavian glitch and click techno night at Cargo, with Andreas
Tilliander, mikael Stavostrand, and more. Thursday is Junkboy, friday is
Clinic, saturday is Wobby and Evolution COntrol COmmitee.
when am i going to get a night home? :)
i've posted many of these shows up on the Calendar at www.8bitrecs.com.
If there are any i don't know of, please post em.
Theres about another four artists on 8bitrecs since i last posted,
some amazing tracks from DoF, Electric Blanket, Tom Rhodes, and an
excellent work in 5 pieces by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, one of the main members
in tarentel. check em out. Also sorted out the problems with the streaming
radio. Instead of using Icecast, i switched to a more minimal mp3 server
called Edna, which ive been very pleased with. It loads the the whole
playlist into your mp3 player, so you can hear any of the tracks without
having to download first, and you don;t have to wait to listen to a static
stream, you can flip through em.
cheers,

n.p. sci-cut.db // Enthusiast. This record is truly awesome. Very mature
sound, really nice production.
