I've seen him three times and only one of those three performances was the full band. But I will say that this one particular show blew my fucking mind. Mike Ladd is a great performer without his full show, but the band was amazing. They mostly played stuff off of Welcome to the Afterfuture and it was really impressive how well the sound of it came out in a live instrumentation context. But umm... when I saw it, Mike wasn't using a Powerbook. He was doing all his shit from an MPC. Did you see him recently?
