Has anyone heard any of the Burnt Friedman/Jaki Liebezeit (of Can) material? Sounds like it could be interesting... Is it dub or something along the lines of Flanger? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I got a promo of this yesterday, and I've only listened to it once, but I quite like it. There's a bit of dub running through it, but only one or two tracks go into full-on dub mode. And it's less kitschy than Flanger. Really nice mixture of electronic and live instrumentation - Liebezeit is such an amazing drummer, it's hard to tell where his beats end and the electronics begin. I'll need to give it a couple more listens before offering a solid opinion, but so far, I'll give it a thumbs up. Also very cool is the upcoming Andrew Pekler album on ~scape. He's best known for doing stuff under the name Sad Rockets, most of which I'm unfamiliar with, but this album is nice dubby-jazzy electro-organic stuff. I think it's out in the next week or two.
