is it just me, or has novel23 been on every really good compilation you've picked up in the last year or so? for me, those have been the initial release on surgery, neurokinetic on toytronic, and, the latest, the RND comp on Pause_2. anyone know of any other really good comps he's on? or any other really good comps in the vein of the above three? also, does anyone know if we can expect a new album anytime soon? thanks, - d

Excellent point.. Roman Belousov (Novel23) has been on several compilations spanning through the past couple of years and recently too. He's just kicked off a new label called Shaped Harmonics that you might be interested to hear.. he has a split release with Ambidextrous on the "Cross Split #1" EP that opens the label as well as the new Ambidextrous release entitled "Errorism" and the upcoming Syntetika full length called "100% Syntetika". While we're on the Russian electronic tip, i'd say that folks like Vesna, Cutoff, Ambidextrous, Rockin' Pony and several others deserve a lot of credit for the great music they're creating lately.. Some comp's that Novel 23 appears on include.. o Bip-Hop Generation Vol.3 on Bip-Hop o Annexe (Cottage Industries: Vol.2) Neo Ouija o Music Vol.1 on Benbecula o Initial Release Comp. on Surgery o RND_0.34873349921 Comp. on Pause2 o Neurokinetic Comp. on Toytronic I might be missing some though.. Another artists who have made several comp appearances would be Eu, Lackluster, Tim Koch.. I have reviewed ambidextrous/novel23 split on shaped harmonics for "seven". and yes, we need more novel23, dammit... speaking of vesna, their 7" on n5md is really worth checking out. --- anton seven.editor http://www.nezzwerk.com/seven icq://2623520 -----Original Message----- From: pietro [mailto:pietro@audionimbus.com] Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2002 6:12 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Cc: d_jak Subject: [idm] re: novel23
