Hey all, I'm a bit bored and am not yet sleepy, and I've been listening to some great music--and I was thinking, what are my favorite remixes (by other artists in particular)? So, on this rather arbitrary mindway, here goes(in no particular order): Listen to a Song by Fingernail remixed by Flowchart Nav Katz - Ziggy (Aphex Twin Mix #1) Sieg Uber Die Sonne - You'll Never Come Back (Plaid Mix) Leftfield - Swords (Two Lone Swordsmen Remix) The Hacker - Fadin' Away (Dima Remix) Adult vs. Solvent - Flexidisk (remix) Aphex Twin - SAW2 CD1 Track1 (four tet mix) Phoenecia Oddjob Discrimination (Jeswa's Dreamlite Steak version) Bjork - All is full of Love (both Funkstorung's and Plaid's remixes) Bjork - everything off of "the best mixes from the album-debut for all the peole who don't buy white-labels" Mum remixed - Traktor remix Slag Boom Van Loon - So Soon (u-ziq's spc-ch-pn) Matthew Dear's Irreparably Dented (David Alvarado Reconstruction) Rabbit in The Moon/Humate - East (Humate Remix) Two Lone Swordsmen - Tiny Reminders (c-p?? damn i can't find this right now--but both the vocal and instramental versions are brilliant) A lot more than I thought I'd list, but they're all tops. Hey, be fair...there's a "meow" or two in there! ;) seriously though, that is a good point. lesser - epic act is another one of my favorites, but for reasons I can't even begin to explain. Also, lexaunculpt's nwa remix, which I'm not certain has even been officially released, is a close second. hellfish - criminal eh? that's all I have. gvp

I think it's on the American Breakbeat comp from Klangkreig, and I think it's (or was supposed to be) on teh Attitude album/3" cd from Tigerbeat. That particular track by lexaunculpt totally floored me. I was in contact with him a few months back and his new stuff sounded unbelieveable. something about writing string arrangements and having beginners play them, then totally rearrangeing them ... or something like that.
