Did I already miss the discussion on this? If not, then I want to highly recommend picking it up if you love Detroit or minimal techno mixes. It's WAY better than Decks, Efx, & 909. Ultra deep and funky. Hawtin bashers from the 313 list definitely need to check this one out.
Two questions:
1. I played it for a friend who loved it, but couldn't understand how music this busy could still be referred to as "minimal techno." When is minimal techno no longer considered minimal? Some material on DE9 does sound like some deep house tracks I've heard.
2. Are there any other easy-to-find deep house, detroit techno, or minimal mixes that are as good or better than DE9 on cd? If so, where?
Thanks.
