idm-list's US-centrism strikes again! You're of course not talking about: "Auntie Aubrey's Excursions Beyond the Call Of Duty - The Orb Remix Project", released by Deviant in 1996, 2CDs. It's most definitely stereo! Bouncing delays at the start of the Higher Than The Sun remix etc... Checking allmusic.com I worked out what y'all were going on about - there was a US "part 1" released earlier this year, which has some stuff from the earlier album, and a few newies. Seems the same with "part 2". Bit annoying for those of us who have the UK release from back then... Wow, I had no idea that the US Ultra "part 1" had a different tracklisting. It's missing quite a few gems, namely the Erasure redo which I had always enjoyed. It is also just in a jewel case and doesn't have the lavish packaging of the 1996 Deviant edition. The Deviant site (www.deviant.co.uk) says they will also be releasing a "part 2" this year. They don't show the tracklisting or release details, but perhaps their release will have a different tracklisting than the Ultra version. Anyone in the UK have details on this? Lazlo, I believe you're the Orb expert, any idea?
