I kinda put this on the back-burner immediately after hearing it wasn't Mosse's usual hazy experimental deep house goodness. An interesting listen now in light of the Second Woman, Gabor Lazar, Mark Fell releases.. For me, it's like all these sound experiments are taking drum synthesis creatively to another level.. Was Kassem Mosse on board? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqzzgRLr8c0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBnad8pVrmc Disclosure is interesting to me because as experimental as it may seem, Mosse can not entirely cut himself off from the basic lo-f drum machine sound, so disclosure remains forward looking, but rooted in the past. And to be honest, not all off the tracks sound that experimental to me, going for straight groove. Just a thought.
