I am located in Sacramento, CA. No one here is down with what this board is down with. In San Francisco, they most certainly are. Duh. My question is: Is there anyone out there who lives in dullsville and has somehow managed to start a weekly, or get local heads to pay attention to "IDM" and its offshoots. I guess you could say IDM IS a collection of offshoots. Anyway, I guess I'm looking for a success story or at least a discussion of some kind. Thank you. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well, most people would certainly consider Orange County, CA to be dullsville, and there have been some occasional IDM related events in the area that have gone quite well. I'd suggest starting with one-offs before tackling a weekly from scratch. Even if a weekly succeeds, they still are an extreme bitch to maintain. Anyone else who's managed a weekly electronic event of some sort can insert all his/her gotchas, tips, suggestions, issues here. You mean, there isn't a gang of kids in the SacraDavis area -- or even KDVS -- that would even think about going to something? ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> ======================================================================= --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
