you people like this? melody sounds a bit too happy / simple maybe - for me? clark has always impressed me with his melodies/glissandos/ Like the dark muffled overreverbed beats behind it ... On Thu, Feb 16, 2017 at 5:15 PM, Paul Lloyd <aeonflow@gmail.com> wrote:

I find this cheesy too but I get the impression he's playing pretty big shows (at least in the US) where people wanna hear some EPIC stuff. On Fri, Feb 17, 2017 at 4:21 AM, Aleks tresorg <alex@tresorg.com> wrote:

as usual i had to check out the new Clark, who i'm a bit hit and miss on as usual, i was surprised how different and yet familiar this Clark album was from the previous one, and my initial impression was wow, holy crap, he's kicked it up yet another notch in the creative songwriting department and taken it to YET ANOTHER even higher level of pop techno/idm nirvana... wow...i mean, i really enjoyed the previous self-titled album but it has been languishing on the shelves for awhile here, but this, wow, i don't know, i recommend you check it out asap if you enjoy Clark at all. at some level, it's still a Clark album, but he's experimenting with still more twisted beautiful melodies and mingling it with different styles and new ideas, each track has several interesting and innovative ideas in it. Took me a day. Between me and Clarky boy, that's a long time. But then bang, it hit me. To summarise what I've said about this somewhere else, the last album was the end of the world. This one is humanity rising from the ashes and tainted by the darkness. Sorry if that's a bit Pitchfork. Btw, have you read their review? Fuckin hell. More Clark, less Clark, not Clark, very Clark.
