ok, had to add something more, so here goes... all you afx heads, hold on to your music dics ( yes, mistyped on purpose) this is exactly the sort of behaviour richard would display ;-D he is very tounge in cheeck, and i think he figured it would piss off a lot of ppl if he went anti-drug cause we all know he does them a lot. if confusion/anger/general fuckery were his aims with this advert, then yay ! richard Vs. world = 2323:0 long live the twin and i hope he releases some new music for gods sake. ps. Mike p is sure havin a laugh i bet regards, teardropb icq 55962348 irc #reaktor on DALnet

Does the moderator have a moral obligation to end all communication that is not music related?, do we as a community have a say in keeping certain threads alive? does it matter? We are all here together, If an isolated person goes nuts, I think they should probably be removed, but if this list was nothing but album reviews by amatuers, I will be leaving soon. sincerely, Benjamin I Zavodnick p.s. note my email in case I disappear in the night On Tue, 8 May 2001 23:07:47 -0700 "brian rachielles" <clickpop@hyperreal.org> writes:

I *wish* this list was nothing but album reviews by amateurs. Especially by amateurs. Not musicians reviewing each others work (you carry your own biases into your reviews and it's just not relevant to me), and certainly not "professional" reviewers who are usually either too close to the industry to give an honest, simple response, or too busy suckling at the artist's breast to really say anything worthwhile. Unfortunately, of course, none of this is here anymore. Instead, we get to hit the delete key eight hundred million and two times a day as every new initiate to the list either complains about "the state of idm today" or whines on about what type of toilet paper does Aphex use and to Autechre like to starch their shirts. Personally, I'll bet Squarepusher likes to shower whilst wearing a kilt, and I've heard Freeform really likes chutney, but only on Good Friday. --- Benjamin I Zavodnick <bzavodnick@juno.com> wrote:

Personally, I'm not interested in what anyone has to say about music unless I know that they like stuff that I do for similar reasons. There are a few people on this list that have hyped groups that I like that I pay closer attention to than others. --- Adam Piontek <apiontek@yahoo.com> wrote:
