For some reason our last email was misinterpreted. I have come to clear a
few things up. As stated in the last email CEX is dead. It has come to my
attention that I am Cex's publicist. No. He doesn't deserve to be talked
about in the same breath as the Pretentious Fucks. Yes, our band name is
the Pretentious Fucks. Yes, we find Cex's behavior atrocious and demeaning
to the IDM list and its fans. We are here to put the I back in IDM. This
is no joke. This is no prank. We are a legitimate band with legitimate
goals, one of which is to destroy Cex.
As stated in the !re:cords manifesto:
All things new are immediately criticized if they are truly revolutionary.
Examples from the past of this phenomenon include such degenerate artists
like Picasso, Manet, Stravinsky, Debussy, and Van Gogh. Recognized only
later in life or in death as geniuses; these figures were at first dismissed
and criticized for their idea to revolutionize their art form and the pre
existing notions of what is art to the bourgeoisie and finally to the
public. Consider the Pretentious Fucks the new guard. If you love us:
