if you like the crunchier beats and melodic sensibility of a lot of MaS I
would highly recommend Proem and Phonem. Both of them have excellent albums;
Proem's "Burn Plate No. 1" is on Hydrant (with a new one any day on Merck)
and Phonem's "Hydro-Electric" is on Morr. Phonem is a bit more epic but both
of these are excellent IMO.

haven't heard leafcutter john but the new devine is great. you should look
into if nothing else the 2 compilation discs on schematic, "ischemic folks"
and "lily of the valley" which not only include a few tracks by devine
himself but also likeminded artists. Most of the Schematic stuff I've heard
is not quite as crazy or scientific as Devine but none of it has
disappointed me so far.
as for mp3.com, see below....not really anything like these artists above
but check it out anyway if you're still interested.
