If people just stopped using the default programs like Outlook and Eudora, this problem wouldn't even occur. These viruses are encoded with macros to self-email though popular programs like these.... USE a shareware (or other type of) email client! There are many that are just as good, if not better (with more configurability) than Outlook and Eudora. I like Foxmail. Smaller, faster, and just as good. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Actually, if people weren't such fucking morons when it comes to opening email attachments, *then* this problem wouldn't even occur. Any email I receive with a file attachment (unless it's something I'm expecting from someone) goes straight into the Trash folder without being opened. It constantly amazes me that people continue to click on attachments when the problem of viruses like this is constantly being talked about in the media and elsewhere. I guess their just pre-occupied trying to remember to tape "Friends" next week so they can watch "Survivor II"... very funny. and coincidental i might add. i just received the virus again. but this time i had norton antivirus installed which detected the virus beforehand and deleted it. here's who sent the virus: (adsl-20-128-119.tys.bellsouth.net [66.20.128.119]) ok. i'll stop emailing you guys with this nonsense. but *please* just check your address books and remove static@staticbeats.com thanks. shimone --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
