The review claims "Electronic music is now more aesthetically and economically segmented than ever[...]" at the very end. Is this really true? Aren't most new releases now some strain of house, techno or bass music? Or maybe idm. I have no idea what "economically segmented" means. On 9/15/2014 10:08 PM, Zombiefly wrote:

i gotta admit i never read music reviews, nor do i ever find value in them when i do... writing about music is like dancing about architecture? heh i gotta hear a few tracks to decide anything about a new album Clint Anderson Systems Engineer On Mon, Sep 15, 2014 at 7:08 AM, Zombiefly <zombiefly@gmail.com> wrote:

Maybe to do with the fact that Aphex, Calvin Harris and Paris Hilton will all make a bomb this year releasing music and or DJing. Everyone else will pretty much lose money... Must say I do find myself finding the Wire less and less useful, possibly only the reviews and jukebox feature I consistently read now. But I have a feeling its more me than them...what with age an all. -----Original Message----- From: Sham Beam [mailto:sham.beam@gmail.com] Sent: 15 September 2014 13:19 To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: The Wire reviews Syro The review claims "Electronic music is now more aesthetically and economically segmented than ever[...]" at the very end.
