i was just looking at circonium and spotted this: rhythm & sound meet the chosen brothers - march down babylon 10" (white label) rhythm & sound are the best. since their remake of the bullwackies 'mango walk' is one of my favourite records, i'm really looking forward to this. does anyone know of its availability? or could anyone point any reviews? or better still.. sound samples? thanks, dave. ---- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I ordered this from Hardwax a few months ago, because I'd heard that it was available exclusively through them. A few weeks after that, someone from Record Time in Detroit mentioned they were getting it in, so perhaps it's not quite as limited after all. The information I had was that it was a limited edition of 500, white labels only. Mine is indeed a white label with the info stamped on it. I'd check with Hardwax (http://www.hardwax.de) for the full scoop on availability. Music-wise: it's excellent. A friend of mine described it as "rhythm & sound without any of the techno". If you liked the wackies remake, you'll love this. The A-side is deep like the sea, slow (80-90BPM) in tempo, with a full reggae vocal, though not Tikiman. I believe it features a new vocalist named Savage. The B-side is the dub of the same. Just picked up the first record on Persona - Stewart Walker's new label. I asked a while ago about recommendations for similar stuff to SWs Tektite and THX releases and have to say that this is exactly what I was after - I guess its his more "upbeat" yet understated techno style. Well.. more upbeat than his LP Stabiles anyway... that is pretty cool but I only really love a few tracks. Someone mentioned a new Rhythm & Sound a while back too (after the Cornell Campbell one) - has that surfaced yet? The new Rhythm & Sound 10" is called I'm The King and it supposed to be in US shops this week. I'll be picking my copy up this weekend! I also noticed on a recent recordshop mailout that there is yet another new Rhythm & Sound ep coming out in a few weeks. Here is the info on that one:
